Mystery solved: Hoof prints belong to Holestein heifer
Written by newseditor on January 6th, 2009Late this afternoon, Mr. Barnes, who owns a small dairy on 1600W between Hwy 56 and 3200 stopped by the Four Country Gals looking for a cow.
He had been out of town over New Years and had a caretaker milking and feeding. The caretaker reported “losing one of the cows”. Barnes had tracked the hoof prints in the snow from his place to the Four Country Gals.
Bev and Shari helped him track her beyond their place towards 5200. Neither Bill Raney or Clyde Davis reported seeing any extra cow prints.
If you see a lonely Holstein heifer with ear tag #289, please notify the Barnes Dairy on 1600W.
